The Rumor Mill
The disappearance of Ranger Danger has been the subject of much speculation and confusion. Rumors of a fullfilled community service sentence, child molestation allegations, and other heinous suggestions have been made for the disappearance of the good ranger. Due to a recent correspondence with Uncle Vito himself, however, Rangeroo Ritch has determined the true cause of the disappearance. Read on to find out what REALLY happened.

The Story
Sadly, it seems as if Vito did not leave his position as Ranger Danger on his own accord. When ClearChannel Communications bought out WXXA, it seems they practically forced him out and prevented him from ever appearing as Ranger Danger again. In this e-mail, Vito explains the situation....one which we as Rangeroos must seek to undo.

VITO WRITES:

Ranger Danger was a causality of corporate takeover. When WXXA was bought by Clear Channels they told me Ranger wasn't profitable and offered me a contract for a week, with the stipulation that I couldn't work at any other TV or radio station. Simply put, they wanted me to quit, because letting me go would make them look bad in the public eye.I was never an employee of WXXA, but an independent contactor. Ranger was my idea and creation, but when I tried to do anything else after, they, the ones who didn't want him, claimed ownership and took me to court trying to get money from anything I would do. There was no way I could fight a company with deep pockets, so Ranger was retired. Needless to say I was very bitter and didn't even want to talk about it until about the last year or so. That's the story.
